So, you bought a new pc?

Congratulations!

Now, before you dive in to the the murky waters of the internet, let me help you set up your pc for maximum enjoyment and safety!

I will;

• ensure your computer is connected to your internet provider
  • this does not include setting up security on your wireless router
• ensure the software on your pc is up to date
  • using Microsoft Update and other sites
• ensure that you have an anti-virus application
  • believe it or not, some computers have no anti-vrus protection!
• ensure you have at least some anti-malware protection
• ensure that you feel comfortable with all of the above

I will show you how to do it, and not just do it for you. That way, you'll learn a little and be better able to help yourself the next time you are in 'trouble'. The whole process can usually be completed in 1 or 2 hours.

My usual charge for 'home' users is $50 per hour (or fraction thereof), but if you ask for the "New PC Special" the charge is ONLY $25 per hour (or fraction thereof). That's a 50% savings!
